Scopd

Scopd is an app for creating/joining groups based on school, company, or city, promoting genuine connections. The job it does: designing and building iOS and Android apps.

It makes the most sense for businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Android, iOS, Mobile Apps and Social Network, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Scopd is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their site is getscopd.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
