Scala

SCALA.AI is an AI platform that offers data annotation, evaluation, and management solutions for operators. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI and Software Engineering, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Scala is based in Bellevue, Washington. More on scala.ai.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Scala, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
