Proofpoint.net

Proofpoint.net provides organizational performance software to leaders who believe they can make their organizations better. The job it does: planning work, assigning owners and seeing what is late.

Who is it for? Mostly teams of any size with deadlines. They also list Analytics, Business Intelligence and Project Management, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Proofpoint.net is based in Los Altos, California. Their site is proofpoint.net.

Things worth asking about: views like boards and Gantt, dependencies, and guest access. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
