Prokor

Prokor provides software development, integration, implementation and IT management services to government and commercial entities. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Project Management and Software Engineering, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Prokor is based in Reston, Virginia. Their site is prokor.com.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
