Pacific Data Management

PDM is a leader in integrating databases into a world wide web environment. That is the short version of Pacific Data Management. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Pacific Data Management is based in San Jose, California. Their site is pdm-inc.com.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
