OPeNDAP

OPeNDAP provides software that makes local data accessible to remote locations regardless of local storage format. The job it does: making developers faster with better editors, debuggers and workflows.

The natural audience is software teams. Related areas on their profile: Developer Platform and Software Engineering. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

OPeNDAP is based in Narragansett, Rhode Island. More on opendap.org.

Things worth asking about: language support, team features, and privacy of your code. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with OPeNDAP, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
