Novitas Data

Novitas Data provides E-Discovery, Document Management, and Computer Forensic Services. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Database, Document Management and Ediscovery. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Novitas Data is based in Portland, Oregon and founded in 1997. Their site is novitasdata.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
