New Idea Engineering

New Idea Engineering (NIE) specializes in enterprise search, offering technical and business consulting on products from the big search. In practice that means managing your IT, from help desk to infrastructure, as an outside partner.

It makes the most sense for small and mid-sized companies. They also list Consulting and Search Engine, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

New Idea Engineering is based in Santa Clara, California and around since 1996. You can read more at ideaeng.com.
