Modisoft

Modisoft is an IT company that specializes in providing POS hardware and software solutions. In practice that means ringing up sales in person and syncing them with inventory.

Who is it for? Mostly shops, restaurants and pop-ups. They also list Hardware and Point of Sale, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Modisoft is based in Sugar Land, Texas. More on modisoft.com.

Things worth asking about: hardware, offline mode, and processing fees. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
