LocalData

LocalData makes digital tools to collect and analyze information about urban infrastructure. The job it does: managing your IT, from help desk to infrastructure, as an outside partner.

Who is it for? Mostly small and mid-sized companies. Related areas on their profile: Analytics, Big Data, Geospatial, GovTech and Information Services. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

LocalData is based in San Francisco, California and around since 2012. Their site is localdata.com.

Our checklist for this category: response SLAs, onboarding, and what is billed per hour. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
