K Software

K Software provides security certificates to Fortune 100 companies, government entities as well as tens of thousands of small companies. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

K Software is based in Ashland, Kentucky and founded in 2003. Their site is ksoftware.net.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
