Ingenesis

Developer of the Shopp e-commerce plugin for WordPress. That is the short version of Ingenesis. In practice that means running an online store from catalog to checkout.

The natural audience is retailers and brands. Alongside the main category they mention E-Commerce. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Ingenesis is based in Springfield, Ohio and around since 2003. More on ingenesis.net.

Things worth asking about: transaction fees, themes, and app ecosystem. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
