Inara

Inara is an ebooks economy that enables authors to get paid directly for every page stream of their ebooks. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Inara is based in Tucson, Arizona and around since 2017. Their site is inara.ai.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
