Horizons International

Horizons International focuses on microsoft business solutions and integrates with manufacturing businesses. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Business Information Systems and Small and Medium Businesses. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Horizons International is based in Julian, California and around since 1987. Their site is hzs.com.

Our checklist for this category: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
