Helm Experience & Design

Helm is a product design firm works with innovative companies to build apps, websites, and tools for growth. That is the short version of Helm Experience & Design. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Product Design, Software Engineering, UX Design, Web Design and Web Development, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Helm Experience & Design is based in Buffalo, New York and around since 2014. Their site is helmux.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
