GovOS

GovOS serves cities, counties and state agencies with cloud suites for tax & compliance, licensing & registration, and public records. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Document Management, Government and GovTech. They are a mid-sized team, 51 to 200 people, which usually shapes who they work with.

GovOS is based in Austin, Texas. Their site is govos.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
