Gearbox Academy

Using artificial intelligence to pair corporations and startups together for collaborative experimentation. That is the short version of Gearbox Academy. The job it does: storing and querying application data reliably.

Who is it for? Mostly developers and data teams. They also list Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence, Database, Incubators and Machine Learning, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Gearbox Academy is based in St Louis, Missouri. You can read more at gearbox.ke.

Before you commit, look at managed options, backups, and scaling costs. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with Gearbox Academy, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
