Fortified Data

Fortified Data provides an elastic service model for data tier design, deployment and ongoing support for SQL Server and Oracle. In practice that means managing your IT, from help desk to infrastructure, as an outside partner.

Who is it for? Mostly small and mid-sized companies. Alongside the main category they mention Analytics, Consulting and Information Services. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Fortified Data is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and around since 2002. Their site is fortifieddata.com.

Before you commit, look at response SLAs, onboarding, and what is billed per hour. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
