Formation Data Systems

Here is Formation Data Systems in plain terms. FDS is a software-defined dynamic storage platform solving enterprise data management and storage for hyperscale computing. The job it does: assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

It makes the most sense for companies without a full security team. They also list Data Center, Data Management and Security, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Formation Data Systems is based in Fremont, California. More on formationds.com.

Before you commit, look at response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
