ForgeRock is a multinational software company that develops commercial open-source identity and access management products. The job it does: controlling who can log in to what, with single sign-on and MFA.

It makes the most sense for IT and security teams. They also list Identity Management and Internet of Things, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a large product team themselves (501 to 1,000 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. At that size expect formal onboarding, documentation and a longer sales cycle.

Things worth asking about: app catalog coverage, provisioning, and audit logs. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
