FirstSQL

FirstSQL maintains a performance lead in OLTP, business intelligence & embedded database systems providing a highly optimized query engine. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

FirstSQL is based in El Cerrito, California. You can read more at firstsql.com.

Before you commit, look at portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
