Fifth Wave

Fifth Wave develops & distributes software products for graphics, publishing, scientific markets, along with marketing consulting services. Put simply, it is about designing and building websites and web apps.

Who is it for? Mostly companies that need a site that works and ranks. They also list Graphic Design, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Fifth Wave is based in San Jose, California and founded in 1990. Their site is fifthwave.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio, CMS choice, and who maintains it afterwards. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
