Federal Defense Solutions

Federal Defense Solutions is an IT-based firm that offers data-center infrastructure, cyber-security & threat intelligence services. Put simply, it is about assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

The natural audience is companies without a full security team. They also list Cyber Security and Database, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Federal Defense Solutions is based in Reston, Virginia and around since 2009. Their site is feddef.com.

Our checklist for this category: response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
