Extempore

Extempore is a SaaS provider of a speaking practice application, used to assign oral homework and assessments to their students. The job it does: delivering courses and tracking who completed what.

Who is it for? Mostly HR, training teams and educators. They also list EdTech and Education, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Extempore is based in Saint Paul, Minnesota and around since 2015. You can read more at extemporeapp.com.

Things worth asking about: content formats, quizzes, certificates, and reporting. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
