Editek

Editek is an IT firm that offers event planning, knowledge management, hardware and software security systems. The job it does: assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

It makes the most sense for companies without a full security team. They also list Hardware and Network Security, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Editek is based in Fairfax, Virginia and founded in 1993. Their site is editek.com.

Things worth asking about: response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Editek, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
