Docassist

Docassist is a document collaboration product. Uplevl provides a secure cloud-based SaaS platform capable of supporting and enhancing business workflow. Put simply, it is about writing and editing documents together with comments and versions.

It makes the most sense for teams that produce a lot of documents. They also list Cloud Computing, Content and Document Management, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Docassist is based in Miramar Beach, Florida and around since 2002. You can read more at docassist.com.

Before you commit, look at offline access, permissions, and export formats. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
