Datastory

Datastory offers GIS-based location intelligence solutions to visualize and analyze data for informed decision-making. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: Data Storage and Location Based Services. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Datastory is based in Mount Prospect, Illinois. More on datastoryli.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
