Darn Bear Software

Darn Bear Software provides custom software solutions and consulting services to the oil and gas industry. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

Who is it for? Mostly companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Accounting and Oil and Gas, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Darn Bear Software is based in Sugar Land, Texas and founded in 1985. Their site is darnbear.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

Every review on Revaw shows how it was verified, so if you know Darn Bear Software well, your review carries weight here.
