Darkwind Media

Darkwind Media is a game development studio and consultancy offering services for engine porting, game porting and unique IP creation. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Gaming and PC Games. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Darkwind Media is based in Rochester, New York. Their site is darkwindmedia.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
