Craftsman Book Company

Craftsman Book Company publishes estimating costbooks and software applications for construction professionals. The job it does: bids, schedules, documents and field reports for building projects.

Who is it for? Mostly contractors and builders. They also list Construction and Publishing, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Craftsman Book Company is based in Carlsbad, California. More on craftsman-book.com.

Things worth asking about: mobile use on site, document control, and cost tracking. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
