Countercepts

Cloud Based EVE Emergency Management Center (EVE EMC) - Campus Safety and Incident Management - Clery Act Compliant!. That is the short version of Countercepts. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Public Safety. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Countercepts is based in Plano, Texas and founded in 2014. Their site is countercepts.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
