Cougar Mountain Software

Cougar Mountain Software is an accounting firm providing integrated accounting software applications. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Accounting. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Cougar Mountain Software is based in Boise, Idaho. Their site is cougarmtn.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Cougar Mountain Software, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
