ConnectEx

ConnectEx is a custom software development company. Unified Building Automation Networks. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

It makes the most sense for companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Energy Management and Lighting, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

ConnectEx is based in Mountain View, California and founded in 2010. More on connect-ex.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
