ComponentOne

Here is ComponentOne in plain terms. GrapeCity is the largest component solution provider of innovative UI controls, tools, & solutions. Creators of C1 Studio, Wijmo, and Xuni. In practice that means designing and building websites and web apps.

Who is it for? Mostly companies that need a site that works and ranks. Related areas on their profile: Developer Tools and Web Development. They are a large team, 501 to 1,000 people, which usually shapes who they work with. At that size expect formal onboarding, documentation and a longer sales cycle.

ComponentOne is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and founded in 1987. More on componentone.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio, CMS choice, and who maintains it afterwards. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with ComponentOne, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
