Checkeeper

Checkeeper is an online check printing software that offers check printing and mailing services. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Related areas on their profile: Printing. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Checkeeper is based in Greenville, South Carolina. Their site is checkeeper.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Checkeeper, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
