Candescent SoftBase

SoftBase offers application testing and tuning solutions for IBM's DB2® database, enabling customers to build high-quality DB2 applications. That is the short version of Candescent SoftBase. Put simply, it is about designing and building iOS and Android apps.

It makes the most sense for businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Candescent SoftBase is based in Asheville, North Carolina. Their site is softbase.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
