BusBoss

BusBoss has been in the business of providing school districts and bus contractors with user-friendly bus routing products and services. The job it does: building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. Alongside the main category they mention Transportation. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

BusBoss is based in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. You can read more at busboss.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.
