blackriver

blackriver operates as a developer of the Ride Spot (ridespot.org) digital platform for PeopleForBikes. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.

It makes the most sense for businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Last Mile Transportation, Personal Health, Social, Social Network and Transportation, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a very small team, 1 to 10 people, which usually shapes who they work with. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

blackriver is based in Madison, Wisconsin. More on ridespot.org.

Things worth asking about: portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.
