Artifex Software

Artifex Software Inc. is the trusted developer of Ghostscript, MuPDF, and SmartOffice technologies. In practice that means designing and building iOS and Android apps.

The natural audience is businesses launching or rebuilding an app. They also list Mobile Apps, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Artifex Software is based in Novato, California. You can read more at artifex.com.

Before you commit, look at portfolio quality, app store experience, and maintenance terms. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.

If you have worked with Artifex Software, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
