Ardour

Ardour is an open-source software for recording, editing, and mixing audio and MIDI. Put simply, it is about running projects, docs and workflows in one shared workspace.

It makes the most sense for teams that want fewer tools. Related areas on their profile: Audio and Internet Radio. As a very small product team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Ardour is based in Boston, Massachusetts and around since 2014. Their site is ardour.org.

Before you commit, look at automation limits, permissions, and per-seat cost at scale. Ask for a trial on your own data, not a canned demo.
