ArcSoft

ArcSoft is a software developer of multimedia technologies and applications across desktop, mobile and embedded platforms. In practice that means building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Digital Media, Mobile, Photography and Video, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a large company team themselves (501 to 1,000 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Bigger vendor, more process. Budget time for procurement.

ArcSoft is based in Fremont, California and around since 1994. Their site is arcsoft.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with ArcSoft, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
