Applian

Applian is an application that allows you to download or record any video or audio from any website. Put simply, it is about building software for you when nothing off the shelf fits.

The natural audience is companies with a specific process to automate. They also list Audio and Video, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a small company team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

Applian is based in San Anselmo, California and founded in 1997. Their site is applian.com.

Things worth asking about: portfolio relevance, who owns the code, and how they handle changes. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Applian, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
