Alternative Management Technology

Alternative Management Technology offers Network FerretTM, a Java-based network topology discovery engine. The job it does: assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

It makes the most sense for companies without a full security team. They also list Network Security, so expect those to show up in the feature set. As a very small company team themselves (1 to 10 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.

Alternative Management Technology is based in New Milford, Connecticut. Their site is altmantech.com.

Before you commit, look at response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. A short pilot with your real data tells you more than any demo.

If you have worked with Alternative Management Technology, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
