department13

Here is department13 in plain terms. D13 is developing cutting edge software and communication systems for customers in both the public and private sectors. In practice that means assessing, monitoring and responding to security threats on your behalf.

It makes the most sense for companies without a full security team. They also list Satellite Communication and Security, so expect those to show up in the feature set. They are a small team, 11 to 50 people, which usually shapes who they work with. You will probably talk to the people who build it, which is great until you need 24/7 support.

department13 is based in Columbia, Maryland. More on department13.com.

Before you commit, look at response times, what is included in monitoring, and reporting. Get the renewal terms in writing before the first invoice.

If you have worked with department13, tell the next buyer what you paid and what surprised you. That is the part of this page we cannot write.
