CiviCRM is an open source CRM built by a community of contributors and supporters, and coordinated by the Core Team. In practice that means keeping every contact, deal and follow-up in one place so nothing slips.

It makes the most sense for sales teams and founders who are tired of spreadsheets. Related areas on their profile: CRM, Sales and Social. As a small product team themselves (11 to 50 people), they tend to serve customers of a similar scale best. Small vendors mean quick answers and real influence on the roadmap, but check who covers support when someone is out.
